1. PV Sindhu storms into the semi-
final of World Badminton
Championship 2014; gets assured
of a bronze medal.
- With this, she has become the
first Indian shuttler to win two
consecutive medals in the World
Badminton Championships.
- She overpowered Shixian Wang
of China in the quarterfinal of this
tournament being held at
Copenhagen, Denmark.
- She had also clinched the bronze
at the last year edition held in
China.
2. RN Ravi, chairman of Joint

appointed as the new official
Interlocutor and centre's
representative for Naga Peace
Talks.
