1).India has improved its ranking on addressing corruption this year.
-Transparency International India said, the country stands at 85th
position among 175 countries as against 94th last year.

2).Indian umpire S. Ravi was named in a 25- member list of match
officials for next year's ICC ODI World Cup in Australia and New
Zealand.

3).India was the first country to adopt the Non- Communicable Diseases
(NCD) global monitoring framework and action plan

4).Peking University, China was ranked no.1 in Times Higher Education
BRICS & Emerging Economies Rankings 2015, covering 18 countries
-India now 4 universities in the top 40
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, IIT Roorkee and Punjab
University, Chandigarh and seven more in the top 100

5).The Social Justice Bench of the Supreme Court was constituted to
handle Public Interest Litigations (PILs) and other petitions on
social issues.
